Description
NUK
FC + Cleft Palate Teat
NUK First Choice Cleft Palate Teat is a non-drilled cleft palate teat. It has been designed so that the rubber part of the teat seals the cleft palate.
The hole in the teat must be drilled manually on a case-by-case basis, following the instructions of the doctor who has examined the Children's palate. A needle is used to pierce the hole on the top of the teat, either to the right or to the left, but never in the cleft palate or on the underside of the teat (which would then be blocked by the baby's tongue). It is also possible and more hygienic to use a toothpick to pierce the hole, pushing the stem from inside the teat to bring out the latex and cut out the desired part. The hole should be as small as possible, as it can always be enlarged if necessary. One of the most important properties of this specific Nuk teat is that it encourages the natural movement of sucking, chewing and drinking. The curved top of the teat presses against the roof of the mouth with each mouthful swallowed. This closes the cleft palate and channels the milk into the cheeks and between the teeth. The food cannot reach the Breathing passages and the Children cannot swallow incorrectly. The milk is still sufficiently mixed with the saliva, which is important for good digestion.
This product complies with standard EN 14350.
Contains: 1 teat + 1 screw ring.
How to use it
Warnings and instructions for use inside.
Please read the instructions for use carefully.
Sterilise the teat and screw ring before using for the first time. Boil for 5 minutes using enough water to ensure that the items are not damaged. For hygiene reasons, clean thoroughly with mild washing-up liquid before using again.
This product should always be used under adult supervision.
Do not put the teat in the dishwasher, as the cleaning product could damage it, and never use a bottle teat as a soother.
Continuous and prolonged suckling of liquids can lead to tooth decay. This applies in particular to sweet liquids and fruit or vegetable juices.
Always check the temperature of the food before giving the bottle. Before each use, check the teat for wear by stretching it in all directions, especially for children with teeth. Replace the teat if it is sticky, visibly damaged or if there are any cracks or bites, to prevent particles from being swallowed. For reasons of safety and hygiene, replace the teat after 1 to 2 months of use. Do not expose the bottle teat to direct sunlight or heat, or leave it in a disinfectant (sterilising solution) for longer than the prescribed period, as this could damage it. Do not immerse in sugary substances or medicines.
Store in a dry, dark place.
Made from natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions.
