* The beneficial effect on reducing the time it takes to fall asleep is obtained by taking at least 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime. ** The beneficial effect on reducing the effects of jet lag is obtained by taking at least 0.5 mg just before bedtime on the first day of travel and for a few days following arrival at your destination.
