Focus on the Calmosine brand
Calmosine is a brand specialising in phytotherapy and products for young children. It offers food supplements for babies, Children and Milk feeding mothers, formulated from plants chosen for their beneficial properties. Calmosine products are part of the Nutrisanté brand, which also includes Biosecure, Manhae, Force G and Ultrabiotique. In 2021, Nutrisanté changed its name to Vitavea.
Laboratoires Monal, founded in 1901 by Emile Monal, enjoyed great success with its plant-based treatment for gonorrhoea, Santal Monal. Over the generations, the brand evolved and was taken over by pharmacists such as Paul Ducroux and his son Jean-Marie. The latter developed Calmosine, a product designed to relieve babies' digestive problems, which are often responsible for their crying.
In 2008, Jean-Marie's daughter Laure Ducroux, a Doctor of Pharmacy, set up Laboratoires Laudavie to continue her father's work. She wanted to develop natural, gentle solutions for minor health problems in Children, such as sleep problems and crying in newborns, rather than potentially heavy, aggressive drug treatments. It has therefore designed Food Supplements under the brand name Calmosine to offer parents efficient solutions without resorting to medication.
The Calmosine brand offers products such as Calmosine digestion, a dietary supplement for babies' digestion, made with fennel, lime and Fleur d'Oranger. It relieves and soothes digestive problems in toddlers. Calmosine Micro, a probiotic for babies, is also available. It is designed to strengthen Baby's natural defences and promote digestive health. All the Calmosine ranges are organic and formulated from plants selected for their beneficial properties.
