- Strains resistant to gastric acidity and bile salts
- Strains protected from heat and humidity, for storage at room temperature
- soluble fibres (acacia gum standardised to over 90% fibre and apple pectin) which help the development of lactic ferments in the digestive tract and form a protective gel in the presence of water.
