The name "Tanacetum" comes from the Latin " Athanasia ", referring to "eternal life and immortality". It was also used to protect the dead. Native to the Mediterranean basin, Annual Tansy grows in a warm, sunny climate. Puressentiel chose Morocco for its production because the climate there is ideal for optimal quality. Also known as Blue Chamomile or Tanacetum annuum in Latin, this plant is easy to grow thanks to its robustness. However, the plant has been over-harvested and has had to be reintroduced into organic farming to ensure it is used in a sustainable way.
AnnualTansy Essential Oil has a distinctive blue colour. It has a mild, pleasant, herbaceous Perfumes with floral notes. Its blue appearance is due to the natural transformation of azulenes into chamazulenes during distillation.
It is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh flowering tops. To guarantee maximum quality and fragrance, the fresh flowers must be crushed and then distilled immediately after harvesting.
Annual Tansy Essential Oil is made up of monoterpene (including Sabinene) and sesquiterpene (including Chamazulene) hydrocarbons.

How to use it
Use for massage, face, hair and body care, diluted in Puressentiel Organic 3 Plant Oils Massage Oil (maximum 1 drop in 10 ml). For further advice on use, ask your pharmacist. Equivalence 1ml = 32 drops
