Maqui berry comes from an indigenous plant growing in the wild forest of southern Chile. This antioxidant superfruit has been consumed by indigenous peoples since ancient times. It has a very high antioxidant capacity, 7 times that of acai and 9 times that of goji.
Pterostilbene is a cousin of resveratrol, and like resveratrol belongs to the stilbenoid family (a sub-family of polyphenols). This unique active ingredient is even more active and bioavailable, and also has a longer half-life in the body.
Grape seeds are an excellent source of oligo-procyanidins (OPCs). These active plant antioxidants have the ability to help protect cells against free radical damage, and also help improve the body's antioxidant status.
